45 Days past

45 days has passed since my last post. The world has changed somewhat with the bombings in London and the capture of individuals involved in the second bombing attempt. There has been funerals and weddings within the extended family during this period. Life goes on.

Sixteen months into retirement, one of my working pals, Shirley, who preceded me to retirement by four months has informed me that she has returned to work. Part-time at 4 hours a day, five days a week. She still does her Meals on Wheels volunteer work, something I have not been able to commit to. Now with nagging thoughts and sheer boredom, I am thinking, just thinking, of attempting to return to work on the opposite side of the job I previously held. To work or not to work? Money isn't the issue, rather it is staying alert by doing complex tasks.

As to volunteer work, I just have a problems working for no compensation. "Giving back" isn't in the equation. I gave a lot when I was gainfully employed and paid "up front"!

This wandering blog (frog) goes aimlessly from topic to topic. I will try to focus in future blogs.
